Trade Mission

Graduates of Innovate!Europe’s Master Class will have an opportunity to put their newfound knowledge to use as participants in an invite-only Innovate!Europe Trade Mission that will visit Silicon Valley in June 2009. The Trade Mission will help accelerate your launch into Silicon Valley, introducing you to a high-level audience of venture capitalists, private investors, bloggers and media, and facilitating access to financiers, partners and service providers who can further your company’s growth – all while immersing you in the Silicon Valley startup culture.

The design of the Trade Mission is intended to put you face to face with the people and companies that you need to know and influence in order to build your global business.

The fee for the Trade Mission is 3995 Euros; attendee fees at Master Class will be credited toward the Trade Mission.

Preliminary Trade Mission Program

Day One (Afternoon/Evening): Orientation

Day Two: Touring Silicon Valley

  • Site visits: Trade Mission participants will be grouped according to interests to visit leading Silicon Valley companies
  • - Introduction and comments by Corporate host
  • - Trade mission participant introductions in Elevator Pitch format
  • - Networking with host
  • Return to hotel/evening on your own

Day Three (Morning): One-on-Ones with Guidewire Group

  • As needed, Trade Mission participants will have the opportunity to meet with Guidewire Group analysts to get support on messaging, market positioning, business development, and other key issues.
  • Showcase setup

Day Three (Afternoon): One-on-Ones with Guidewire Group

  • Showcase of Trade Mission attendees open to the Silicon Valley investor, technology and media community.
  • Return to hotel; evening on your own

Day Four: Private Meetings

  • Trade Mission attendees will be hosted in offices around Silicon Valley in order to take meetings with their new contacts and to further business development and investment discussions.
